Number 1 Reason Most Traders Fail

The number 1 reason most traders fail is not because of their indicators, market, or timeframes.  It is acutally being undercapitalized (meaning they cannot withstand the drawdown that all traders will face).

Number 1 Reason Most Traders Fail

In this video, Gail Mercer, founder of TradersHelpDesk, shows the number 1 reason most traders fail. While most traders will blame their indicators, timeframes or markets, the actual reason that most traders fail is that they are undercapitalized. All traders, both new and experienced, will go through a drawdown where they are losing money. It does not mean that their strategy doesn’t work. They are simply going through a losing streak, which will occur with any strategy. It is the ability to maintain your account during these drawdown periods that will allow you to withstand the losing streak before probabilities are back on your side.
