Scalp on the E-mini Russell 2000 Short

In this video, Gail Mercer, founder of TradersHelpDesk shows her scalp on the e-mini Russell 2000.  Although not the a great money maker, it does show the importance of doing your job as a trader — taking profit when it is offered.

This morning both the 12 and 45 minute charts were showing that the market was overextended to the upside.  Additionally, the 12 minute chart revealed trend divergence and a magenta peak.  The 45 minute also indicated that price was at a congestion dot.  Typical price behavior would be for price to return to the new blue ATR and test for support.

Going down to the 3 minute chart, price was testing the ATR.  This was a low risk scalp on the e-mini Russell 2000 (about 8 ticks of risk) with the potential for price to move down to the ATR on the 45 minute chart (1579.4).  Price tested the congestion dot on the 3 minute chart three times and could not break through it so Gail took profits early.  Entry was at 1585.7 and exit was at 1585.3.
